Sherry Vaquero is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) born and raised in Miami, Fl. She graduated from Florida International University in 2014 with a Bachelor degree in Psychology; this is where she first fell in love with behavior analysis after taking an introduction to ABA course during her undergrad. Soon after she joined FIU’s summer treatment program where she provided one to one therapy to children ages 3-5 years old and decided this was the career path for her. She has since graduated with her Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Nova Southeastern University in 2017. For 5 years she has worked with a large population of children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and related problem behaviors in home, school, and center based settings around South Florida. During this time she has provided one to one therapy implementing verbal behavior programs, behavior reduction interventions, creating behavior support plans, training and supervising behavior technicians, and providing parent training. Sherry is truly grateful for all the experiences she has shared with these children and their families. She will continue to pursue growth in her professional developmental in order to be able to continue making a difference. Seeing the change in her clients and helping them reach their full potential is the most rewarding part of her job, and she says that she “wouldn’t trade it” for anything!
