Khadija McCarthy is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). Khadija was introduced to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis while participating in undergraduate research with children in the adoption and foster care system. In 2014, Khadija completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2015, Khadija relocated to South Florida and began working in the ABA field with Crystal Minds New Beginning. Khadija feels extremely fortunate to be able to work with all individuals and their families while teaching fundamental skills for independence & adaptive behavior. Khadija also does parent training, working one-on-one with caregivers, helping them understand behavior while exploring various behavior interventions because she believes caregiver participation is key to effective treatment. Khadija has experience working with many clients from infants to adults with developmental disabilities such as Autism, Down syndrome, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, however she believes ABA therapy is limitless. Khadija is currently a graduate student at Nova Southeastern University and plans to become a BCBA once completing her Master’s. Khadija is passionate about the work she does and also plans to pursue a career in research to further develop the field and find the best treatments to help children & their families live successfully.
