ABA Intern Supervision

Intern Supervision

If you don’t see this as just a “job” but rather a calling, we are the right place for you!

CMNB offers supervision for students who are eager to obtain their certification. You must first start the required coursework sequence as mandated by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. A total of 135 classroom hours at a college or university level based focused on Behavior Analysis must be completed. Also, 1000 hours of supervised experience must be obtained, of which 50 hours must be acquired in direct supervision. The remaining supervision hours may be obtained in person, via internet-based technologies, or by phone. Fieldwork hours cannot exceed more than 30 hours a week, but must be at least 10 hours a week for 3 weeks per month.

ABA Intern Supervision

Supervisors are required to observe interns in the natural environment engaging in behavior-analytic activities once every two weeks minimum and give feedback on their performance. We also provide a multifaceted approach to obtaining the indirect hours needed for the BACB. We cover assessing clients, writing programs, participating in group discussions, attending trainings and workshops, and even opportunities to facilitate groups and possibly aid in teaching.

*We also provide supervision for BCaBAs.

If you are looking for a practice that is small enough to ensure open communication between clinicians and offers active, hands-on training, but big enough to foster independence and diverse learning opportunities and growth—we think you are in the right place!

We are affiliated with various universities and serve as a practicum sites for them. Just ask your practicum coordinator for more details.
