Alina Lluvet was in Miami from Cuban parents. As her parents did not understand English very well or the school system in America, she adapted to being independent. She spent most of her free time in the ballet studio where she was taught grace and discipline. Alina’s experiences shaped the core values that she holds true today. Upon completing her high school education at Coral Reef Senior High School, she developed an interest in social work and criminal justice. As she shaped her career goals in legal psychology and law enforcement, she graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with Dual Bachelor’s Degrees within two years of graduating high school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in December 2020. While she attended FIU, she became involved with the Student Conduct Committee where she applied policies and ethics to student hearings and trials where misconduct was present. Alina also participated in many psychology labs in order to learn about research and how it is conducted in the field. Her next step in life is the beginning of a new journey as a Registered Behavior Technician at Crystal Minds New Beginning. Alina intends to make a significant impact on the lives of others and to spread kindness through involvement with the community. Her newfound journey began with one class. She was fortunate to find her calling through a behavior analysis class she took at FIU. This one class set her life in motion and pushed her back to her original roots of wanting to become a Psychologist.
