Connie Amador is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2014 when she started her first job working with children in the spectrum. She completed her undergraduate at Florida International University (FIU) in Recreational Therapy in pursuit of a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Connie instantly had a change of heart as she fell in love with not only ABA but the kiddos she worked with. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Autism. Connie has had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and adults with diverse developmental and physical disorders. Her experience also includes providing ABA services in different settings such as a clinic, school, home, and community-based. She has completed several internships where she learned the importance of promoting the autonomy and inclusion of the individuals she works with. Connie is preparing to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) as she is continuously learning and growing as a professional. She is reminded daily why she chose this career and hopes to continue to make a difference in children’s lives and their families.
