Lorianne Alvarez started her journey in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) about four years ago when she took her first intro class as an undergraduate. She soon realized that she would not only be able to help make a difference in people’s lives but in her own. With this purpose in mind, she completed the course sequence to become a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), at the same time that she obtained her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification. Once in the field, she learned how to implement the principles of ABA. Today, she can say that she has been able to impact her clients’ lives by teaching them socially significant behaviors. Under the supervision of an experienced Behavior Analysts, Lorianne has been able to write Behavioral Plans, programs for clients using assessment tools such as VB MAPP, ABBLS, AND AFLS, as well as provide supervision to behavior technicians, and parent training to numerous families. As a new Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), she hopes to continue advancing in the field and creating significant change in her clients’ lives.
