Lorianne Alvarez started her journey in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) about four years ago when she took her first intro class as an undergraduate. She soon realized that she would not only be able to help make a difference in peopleʼs lives, but in her own. With this purpose in mind, she completed the course sequence to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), at the same time that she obtained her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification. Once in the field, she learned how to implement the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Today, she can say that she has been able to impact her clientsʼ lives by teaching them socially significant behaviors. Furthermore, she continues to grow as a professional, going from being a therapist to assuming a leadership role as a lead therapist, then a BCaBA,and once she is done with her graduate program, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Lorianne is excited to continue learning from her coworkers, supervisors, and clients along the way, and she is passionate about the future of the ABA field.
