Melissa Blanco
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Melissa Blanco is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. She began her journey in ABA as an RBT in 2016. After gaining experience in ABA, she admired how she could apply science as well as work with children to increase independence in their lives. While she gained experience as an RBT, Melissa attended Miami Dade Honors College and later transferred to the University of Miami to earn her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Education. During her time as a therapist, she has had the pleasure of working with children ages 2 – 18 on the Autism Spectrum. Melissa has provided direct therapy to others in different settings such as client’s homes, schools, and clinics. She highly enjoyed her years as an RBT and decided to pursue the BCBA certification. Melissa wanted to combine her love for Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. In 2020, she attended Pennsylvania State University, and 2 years later she graduated with a Master’s in Education and an emphasis in ABA. She later went on to become a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst a year later. Over the past eight years, Melissa has had the pleasure to work in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is passionate about making positive change to others’ lives and she hopes to continue to do so for many more years.
