Chanel Nuñez is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with 5 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) helping children with Developmental Disabilities and children in Foster Care. Chanel’s journey in the field began in 2013 as a camp counselor for the Autism Spectrum Disorder Summer Treatment Program at FIU. Chanel then graduated with her Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Behavior Analysis in 2013. She became a Board Certified assistant Behavior Analyst in 2015. Chanel completed her Masters in Behavior Analysis in June 2019 and became a BCBA in August of 2019. Furthermore, Chanel has extensive experience with children ages 2 to 10. Experience has also began to include teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectually Disability. In addition, Chanel has worked with a variety of areas such as sleeping difficulties, aggression, non-compliance, tics, pica, tantrums, and social deficits. Chanel also has experience in implementing Incidental Teaching, Naturalistic Teaching, Routine Based Teaching and Discrete Trial Teaching instructional methodologies in her practice. Furthermore, Chanel has experience in providing parent training to caregivers. Additionally, she has trained new comers in the field seeking to become a Registered Behavior Technician, provided supervision, case management and development of Behavior Service Plans. Chanel uses her interest in science, singing, drawing, and acting as a means to bring a uniquely exciting twist to therapy while always considering the child’s individuality.
