Daniella Hernandez was born and raised in Miami. Both her parents are immigrants from Colombia and Peru, her parents took pride in ensuring she was raised to be bilingual. From an early age Daniella knew she wanted to help others; this was seen through her dedication in community service. Within her work in the community, she has had the privilege of working with a diverse group of individuals. From an early age Daniella has enjoyed being in groups, this is observed through her extra-curricular activities such as HOSA for future health professionals, and sports such as cross country and water polo. These activities have made her a team player by increasing her communication skills, disciple and collaboration. Focusing on the big picture Daniella ensured her grades never faltered in High School nor in her undergraduate years at Florida International University (FIU) to ensure she always had the opportunity to continue her education. Daniella is currently studying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at the graduate level in the hopes of becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her passion for ABA came from a special education professor who saw Daniella’s potential and recommended she take a course to further her knowledge on the subject. From this class, she knew this is what she wanted to continue to do and went on to become a Board-Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and applied for a graduate degree in ABA.
