Faviola Rivera

Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)

Fabiola Rivera is a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) that graduated with honors from Florida International University (FIU) and earned a bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. During her undergrad, she aspired to become a Forensic Psychologist and work in correctional facilities with a focus in rehabilitation as well as assume the role of a forensic expert witness in court proceedings. Mid-way through her bachelors is when she came across an ‘Intro to Applied Behavior Analysis’ course and fell in love with the scientific nature of the field. Fabiola quickly enrolled herself in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) verified course sequence to sit for the BCaBA exam. While earning her direct and indirect hours, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and gained a great deal of experience with various types of behaviors, implementing successful reduction procedures and targeting specific skill acquisition goals through incidental teaching as well as discrete trail training. Just recently passing her BCaBA exam, Fabiola is now gaining experience in duties that align with the assistant role and has found great pleasure in conducting parent training sessions and training staff to assure quality services are being provided. Fabiola plans on perusing her master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis come Spring 2022 to become a BCBA and achieve her ultimate goal which is to provide quality services and to bridge the gap in ABA treatment disparities within low socioeconomic communities and minority groups.
