Gina Gonzalez

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Gina Gonzalez recently graduated from FIU with a Bachelor’s in Psychology at the top of her class, while raising her six-year-old little girl and working over 35 hours a week as a Registered Behavior Technician and a Peer Consultant. During her first semester at FIU, her passion was Forensic Psychology. During that time, she took the introductory course in Behavior Analysis. She fell in love with the course, met a friend in class who worked for Crystal Minds New Beginning, and began inquiring about what her job entailed. The fiend spoke about her job with such passion. Gina says she had always loved the idea of working with children and helping them advance towards a brighter future. She began her internship in December 2013, and she feels it was the best decision she ever made. She says: “Fortunately, I have a job in which I cannot wait to wake up the next day and go to, and you know what they say–when you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” She has now been working for two years with Crystal Minds and has had the pleasure of working with a great team of analysts and therapists from whom she feels she has learned a great deal.
